I qualified as a physiotherapist in 1986 from Manchester School of Physiotherapy. I worked in the NHS for 20 years developing my neurophysiotherapy skills in stroke and brain injury working as part of a Specialist Neuro Team. I joined Lbhealthcare, In November 2005, setting up the Neurohysiotherapy clinic.
I have continued to develop as a Neurophysiotherapist and enjoy developing my clinical skills by attending post graduate courses. Over the past 6 years I have been lucky enough to have the opportunity to attend courses on Myofascial Release, a gentle but powerful treatment approach and now incorporate this as part of my treatment program. I also have experience working in the hydrotherapy pool and I am happy to work with clients on land or in water depending on their needs.
I provide, with our sports therapist, a hydrotherapy exercise class for Parkinson Disease sufferers, a great way to exercise in a safe environment.
Outside of work I have a family and we all enjoy outdoor activities and keeping fit and active.
I am state registered with the Health Professions Council (HPC) and a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (MCSP).
