I graduated with a degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine (Acupuncture) from University of Salford in 2006. In the three years training I gained skills not only in traditional acupuncture, but also cupping, moxibustion, electro-acupuncture, auricular therapy, and therapeutic massage.
After my degree I completed further study at the Teaching Hospital of Tianjin, in China.
Since then I have practised traditional acupuncture in a variety of settings, including a corporate contract with GE Aviation, and treating clients whilst travelling the world as the on-board acupuncturist on a cruise ship in 2009. I specialise in helping clients with negative stress and the physical and mental symptoms which accompany this. Central to my approach is inspiring the patient to help themselves. Acupuncture can be used for a wide variety of conditions, including tension headaches, migraines and pain conditions. Please contact me directly so I can advise if acupuncture can help your health concerns.
I have been settled and treating clients in the Southampton area since 2011, including two years from a local private chiropractic clinic. I joined LBhealthcare in 2015. I am a member of The Acupuncture Society and have full professional indemnity insurance.
Outside of work my daughter keeps me busy and laughing. In addition I enjoy running, yoga, working at a community allotment, and singing in a pop and motown choir, Love Soul. For more information, see thrivetherapies.co.uk or call 07748 592399.
