Speech and Language Therapy

I graduated from the College of St Mark and St John (Plymouth) in 2004 with a BA (Hons) in Human Communication Studies. Prior to starting my company Learn to Talk, I worked for two different NHS trusts in a range of settings which included mainstream and special schools, community clinics and children’s centres.

Learn to Talk has been established since 2009, offering private speech and language therapy to children aged 0-11.

I have had training and experience in a range of communication difficulties including:

  • Language delay
  • Language disorder
  • Autistic Spectrum Disorder
  • Social Communication Disorder
  • Stammering
  • Speech sound delay
  • Speech sound disorder and verbal dyspraxia
  • Cleft lip and palate

I am registered with the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists, Health and Care Professions Council and Association of Speech and Language Therapists in Independent Practice. As well as clinic work, I hold a contract to deliver speech and language support to a local special school. In my spare time I am kept entertained by my young daughter and two bouncy Labradors.
